Black Arc Shanty

Black Arc Shanty is the 3rd. and most recent incarnation of a structure that I’ve been developing since June 2005. To date, each of the Black Arcs has featured recycled building materials. I think of this structure as a focal point for creative energy.

I'm a Minnesotan, I live on a lake, I’ve been looking out my front window at icehouses for 13 years now. The Shanty Project 2006 gives me the opportunity to take the Black Arc out on the ice.

This version of the Black Arc will feature collaborative performance, fashion, dance, and music in a special presentation at 3pm on January 14th.
